So it's been a while
I don't remember the last time i've made a post
so i finally found a job
pretty decent one actually
i'm working the front desk at a hotel..on the base
where most of the customers are young men :-P
I'm fully trained now
I'm currently at work....the midnight shift has its pros and its cons
it's dead so i get to do whatever but i have to stay up till 7am

other than that nothing else is new with me
i'm starting to get used to being single
dating sucks most of the time though

i just got my scehdule for december and it's pretty good
i have christmas eve off and i'm working evenings christmas day and boxing day and i have new's years eve and new year's day off..horray
there are plans to go to Toronto for New year's but i don't really care where I am as long as i get drunk! and don't have to spend a lot of money doing it...
anyhoo i'm off to find something to entertain myself with

p.s.: i just saw the "adult content" function on lj, how scandolous

rumaging thru old cd's is very nostalgic
i found a love inc. cd...remember them!? "cuz i've got broken bones.."
and a really old backstreet boys albums, ah so many memories
and plus a bunch of old mix cd's
they have the ability to transport you back to the time when you made that cd...tiggers so many memories
i think after scent, music is the second most effective memory trigger :-P

I have a job interview on Thursday for my dream job (at the moment)
So it's for "special events planner" for the chamber of commerce in Trenton
Only thing is, is that it's only a 12 week internship, which is also perfect because then I can learn all about being an events planner and see if I actually like it and I can have the option of going to college in January as planned for HR
So it's a pretty sweet deal $13.75 for 40 hours/week
I really hope I get it

I haven't made a post in almost a month exactly
I'm not much of a blogger these days

I quit my job at the call center
it was sucking the life out of me

The summer went by really fast and I'm happy to say that I am not going back to school
And I'm lucky that two of my closest friends are around and not going back too

It was really hard to go to Petawawa, recently graduated from university and jobless
And everyone thinks they have the solution
I know they mean well but if one more person tells me to become a teacher or go overseas....
I DON'T want to be a teacher (I don't know why ppl think i would be good at it)
and I want to stay in Canada, that i know for sure, yea I'm young but it just doesn't seem worth it to me
All I want to do is make some $$ and pay off my debt

so that's what is going on in my life right now
nothing too exciting just a lot of soul searching

So I can't believe that it's freaking August already
Where has the summer gone?
I got a new job today, I start on Monday
can't say that I'm excited about it
last shift at Rogers tomorrow

Just got back from seeing "The Simpsons Movie" and thought it was hilarious
although I thought Maggie was supposed to say something, oh well
we went to Denny's afterwards, good times

Other than that, nothing too exciting is going on
I just can't believe how fast time flies

August will be a crazy month too

Jen comes back to Trenton then leaves for Nova Scotia!

It's been a while since I've updated...
So my last day at Rogers is August 1st and I mean it this time! :-P
I literally sent my resume into a call center like 2 hours ago and they just called me and said that they we're really happy with what they saw and that they are having a job fair next Tuesday and they are doing on the spot hiring...so I'm pretty sure I have a job
8-5
no weekends
$10/hour
nothing glamorous but what I wanted
They only thing is that I would be working for Bell
oh well, hopefully it won't be for long and i'll be making money so that's good

OMG, my arms hurt so much!
I played the Wii for the first time last night, loads of fun but I am so sore
I played boxing on my bosses huge ass TV and bowling and Raymond Raving Rabbits
It was the Rogers potluck last night
lots of yummy food
I made avacado feta salsa, so good
The burgers were really yummy
I couldn't get over how tacky my boss' house was

I'm in the library right now
It is so dead
The last time I was here was during exams and it was so busy
I brought 9 books to the TCSA for consignment, hopefully I get some $
I also went to the career centre to work on my interview skills and I'm going back at 1pm to get my resume crtiqued
I'm currently eating a gluten/lactose free cocunut bar and drinking arizon Iced Tea cuz I didn't think Tim Horton's would be open...it's still yummy

I need to take a lot of songs off of my iPod...they all remind me of him...

In other news, the George North sucks balls, I need to get so more boxes, I am excited for sushi tonight and I am sad to be leaving peterborough.....

That is part of my horoscope for today
I was planning on watching some movies tonight but Ruth is coming over with her new bf and she asked me to play cranium with them, a social activity :-P
My horoscope has been bang on lately

So my reading week was not too exciting
It was good to go home for a bit
I went sledding with Julia and Jasmine, that was fun and went to the new Little Texas in Belleville which turned out to be a bust but we still had fun

Chuck's birthday was OK, we went to see "Ghost Rider"....high :-P
And then his friend's came over for a bit
He liked his presents, the one's he got from me anyways! His parents got him an antique saw....yea, they like to buy things at auctions
He wasn't impressed

I've worked the past two nights and haven't got any school work done...I've just been studying for my Psych of Health midterm on Monday
I'm really excited to watch the Oscar's on Sunday cause I'm a huge loser like that
I watched "The Prestige" yesterday and it was really good, even though I called it, way better than "The Illusionist"

I'm thinking my last week at Rogers will be the first week of April, so I can have Easter and exams off
I will miss the free rentals

Anyhoo, back to reading

2 more weeks till reading week...
3 more months of living at 298 King St....
8 more weeks of school....
Convocation May 31/June 1st...

I still have no idea what I'm doing this summer
I kinda really want to apply at Fleming for "Event Planner" and NO not like J-Lo in "The Wedding Planner"

I just made myself a salad with avacado and feta and pumpkin seeds with a balsamic dressing and it was yummy!
Long day at work...
As soon as I went on my break Jamie was bombarded with phone problems
An old man lost his blackberry so I sold him another one ($600 btw) and then as he was about to leave his wife called saying that someone had found it! So that was fun!

also, for the potluck tomorrow....If I make a marble cake with buttercream icing, will that be OK!?

so far so good
Chuck has been here since the 31st and he just left, he should have a new nephew by the end of the day! Sam!
All we've done all week is watch a lot of movies!

I'm also excited for classes to start but glad they haven't started yet!
New Year's Eve was fun, Kareoke was a blast! Clearly I don't need to microphone!

My Christmas was good, got lots of good stuff, including an ipod from Chuck
The visit from Elisha and Jacinta was good too but too short! :-P
We must plan a trip to Niagara Falls this summer
So i'm back in ptbo, nothing too exciting
Excited for tomorrow though! New Year's Eve at Jen's should be good times, I hope I get fucked up :-P

I wanted to do a year in review but nothing really exciting happened...that I can think of anyways...
-stayed in ptbo for the summer
-took a summer course
-went camping at Sandbanks and Kendra broke her ankle
-went hiking in Algonquin Park with a lot of my cousins
-family reunion of sorts in Petawawa
(all the exciting stuff happened in the summer!)

I dunno if I want to do the whole resolution thing... cuz they seem so cliche.. but I do want to start excersing more (that is always on my list!) and I want to eat better(cut back on the junk food)

So the outlook for 2007 is sketchy...
-graduate from university and try to find a REAL/GOOD job, something that will enable me to start paying off my debt
-I need to figure out where I will be living after May 1st when my lease is up
-I would really like to go to Africa to visit my family that lives there
oh god, these next 4 months are going to go by so fast...

This week freggin sucks
I have a major paper due today which I finished last night but still need to proofread
I have a "thought paper" due at 4pm today which I haven't started
Then I have another major paper due on Friday that I haven't started yet either
I don't remember procrastinating this much last year

Anyhoo, then I'm off to Chuck's for the weekend because it's his nephew's b-day and I don't have anything due next week!
Jasmine and my Mom might be coming to visit next Saturday which would be cool
Then I have a poster due on the 27th abd I'm pretty sure that's it until exams gah
And then Kendra might be visiting me on Nov 29th for retro night! So everybody better come! We haven't been all year.
Apparently we're getting the schedule for all of December this week, I really hope that I don't have to work Boxing Day cuz I have no idea how I will be getting back to ptbo....
Anyways, I should go do some work...boo
